In the opening bout of the evening, Canadian cruiserweight Robert James Thomas made his professional debut in a big way, scoring a second round stoppage of Cincinnati, Ohio’s Antwaun Taylor (1-4). Thomas caught Taylor in the corner and rocked him with a right cross. Taylor covered and bent over. The heavy handed Canadian unleashed a series of hooks with nothing coming back in return, which forced referee Chris Riskus to step in and call a halt to the contest for the TKO victory. The official time of the stoppage was 1:31 of the second round.

Canadian heavyweight Bradley Hamil made a successful professional debut with a second round TKO victory over Sacramento, California’s Idris Wasi (1-1, 1 KO).

Hamil’s heavy hands had Wasi pretty much on the retreat throughout the opening round. Wasi was game though, even though he gave up over thirty-eight pounds to the much bigger Hamil. Late in the second, Wasi was rocked by a heavy combination. Wasi would not go down as the heavier handed Hamil landed a couple of big right hands. The bout was stopped between rounds at the advice of his corner, giving Bradley Hamil the victory. The official time of the TKO victory was three minutes of round two.
